WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE BPSU MAIN CAMPUS EXTENSION AND TRAINING SERVICES OFFICE
The general objective of the project is to maximize potential benefits of 3D technology and improve resource and efficiency which can be realized in both production and phases of manufacturing and designing products. In the University, the Additive Manufacturing Research Laboratory (AMREL), a state-of-the-art 3D printing research facility equipped with the latest machine is funded by the government. To maximize the benefits that the community can get frim it, it is deemed necessary to educate the people about its working principles
Background
Among the manufacturing technologies, additive manufacturing, better known as 3D printing covers a wide range of the production technologies that fabricate products layer by layer. Additive Manufacturing is the process of joining materials to make parts from a 3-dimensional model one layer at a time; synonymous to Additive Manufacturing (AM) is 3D printing, direct digital manufacturing, freeform fabrication, rapid prototyping, additive fabrication, additive layer manufacturing.
Impact
Acquisition of skills and knowledge in Additive Manufacturing Technology that will maximize potential benefits of 3D technology and improve resources efficiency which can be realized in both production and phases of manufacturing and designing products
