The Abernethy Points System is based on the belief (and research) that rewarding positive behaviour is a more effective motivator for change than the traditional punishment systems.
This is a combined reward and discipline system that allows boys to earn points as a reward for good behaviour and use these same points to offset against “punishment” that is issued for poor behaviour.
