Beyond the Wall: 2022 Family Tree Project

Welcome to the Family Tree Project for Beyond the Wall!

Here's you'll find some good online resources to help you explore the world of migration, immigration, and refugees. There's lots of info out there on local groups too. But these database lists might be a good place to start!

I've also pulled some books from our shelves and collected some from Baker Free Library to help you explore. Feel free to peruse, but please make sure you check them out if you want to take them home.

Here is a link to some resources in our Gale database.

You'll find a folder with links to various articles, most focusing on local topics regarding. But then broaden your research once you're in there.

Remember to try exploring key words. What search terms can you use to explore more in depth? Does it make a different if you put quotes around your terms to create a phrase?

The above list also focuses on refugees in NH. Remember to play with the search terms here too. Here's some results for human migration and another for human migration. Do you notice any difference? I do.

Don't forget there are some great e-books in there too if you're looking to explore some of those! They have a great search feature to let you poke through a bit without reading the whole thing!
