This program provides students with hands-on employment training in an inclusive, supportive environment. The class's focus is to provide students opportunities for career exploration, career skill development, daily living skill development, social-emotional skill development, teamwork, following directions, and various other skills needed for postsecondary success. Students concentrating in this program area are prepared to handle the responsibilities of managing a business or institutional building or facility's daily maintenance. Students will be trained and acquire introductory skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, painting, landscaping, event set-up, and other skills needed in property maintenance. This course will prepare students for employment in the field by teaching them a diversified curriculum in multiple trade-related areas.
Students are expected to be in uniform with all protective equipment before accessing the tools. Check out our students working on one of our many projects.
