The first part of your project is a neighborhood reflection about your street or neighborhood. This reflection, story, or memory will be the introduction to your semester-long project.
You may want to consider some of the following questions and prompts. You are not limited to these questions in any way.
For how long have you lived in your neighborhood?
Who else from your family or community lives with you or near you?
What are the major defining features of your neighborhood?
Describe the demographics of your neighborhood.
Describe the buildings.
Describe how people come and go from your neighborhood.
When does your neighborhood feel most alive?
During which season do you most enjoy your neighborhood?
What is a favorite memory from your neighborhood?
How does the rest of the city view your neighborhood? How do you view this place?
Remember, you will be creating a website for this project so as you brainstorm, you want to consider how you want to capture and present your reflection.
