Katherine Petta and Chris Madson have been dabbling in Project Based Learning since 2016. This is their favorite project, and one they are very proud of!
Chris and Katherine have co-designed and co-taught curriculum and teacher trainings since 2012.

Chris is a high school English Language Arts teacher at the Edward M Kennedy Academy for Health Careers, a Boston Public school, where he has implemented a school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports system, designed project-based curriculum that connects students with arts and public and private organizations around the city, and advocated for and implemented inclusion curriculum for students with IEPs.
Chris earned a B.A. in English from Hamline University, a MEd through the Boston Teacher Residency Program and the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a PhD in literature from the University at Buffalo. He is a National Board Certified Teacher.
Chris has 17 years of teaching experience.

Katherine is a high school English Language Arts teacher at the Jeremiah E. Burke High School, a Boston Public school. In addition to teaching, Katherine is the director of the school's Instructional Leadership Team as well as a New Teacher Developer who provides instructional support and mentorship to one of her newest colleagues.
Katherine earned a B.A. in English and Sociology from Fairfield University, a M.Ed. from Boston College and an Ed.D in educational leadership from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a National Board Certified Teacher.
Katherine has 15 years of teaching experience.
