Did you know that 91% of teachers who pursue Board Certification say it is the most powerful professional learning experience of their careers?
Why not try out one component of National Board Certification
as a PD experience?
"Component 2: Differentiation in Instruction" and "Component 3: Examining Teaching Practice & the Learning Environment" are professional learning opportunities in which educators use student work, instructional materials and videos of their classroom instruction to examine their professional practice together as they complete Component 2 or Component 3 of the National Board Process and develop as accomplished teachers. This structure is designed to enable participants to use peer feedback and support to make instructional changes aligned with improved outcomes for each and every student, BPS inclusive education competencies and the Component 2 or 3 rubric.
Participants will receive 2 ALC credits for participating in one of these courses and submitting Component 2 or 3 to NBPTS by May 16, 2026. Participants do need to register as candidates with NBPTS and purchase the relevant component ($550) to participate, but are not required to complete all four components of the NBPTS process.
