THE PATHWAY INITIATIVE
Student Internship Program (HYBRID)
This program is available for high school students (11th-12th grades) interested in careers in medicine, health sciences, and STEM. The internship offers invaluable clinical exposure, scientific research training, and the development of key soft skills crucial for academic and professional success.
Wage: $15 an hour/ 10 hours a week
Program Dates: Mid-October 2024 - Late April 2025
Program Requirements:
Must be 11th or 12th grader
Legally able to work in US
Passion for science and STEM careers
Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, or of Spanish origin
Able to conduct independent research and mentor younger STEM students.

High School Medical Academy (VIRTUAL)
The program curriculum is designed to provide students with valuable hands-on experiences, enhance their resumes, and prepare them for future academic and career opportunities in the fields of technology and health sciences. Over the course of ten weeks, students will engage in a dynamic and comprehensive virtual learning experience, culminating in the creation of a final research project presentation. This program is targeting towards immigrant students.
Wage: $15 an hour/ 10 hours a week
Program Dates: Mid-October 2024 - Late April 2025
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
Program Requirements:
14-16 years old (9th - 11th grade)
Low-income, African American, Hispanic, or Latinx
Immigrant students
