Advanced Honors Latin Literature

Course Description

This 6th year Latin course is an elective which is taught at the advanced-undergraduate college level. Students are expected to work independently and at a fast pace. They read over 1200 lines from Catullus and Ovid, as well as other authors. In addition they read selected poetic works in English. This course teaches familiarity with lyric meter, skillful literary analysis and essay writing.

Recommended for Admission

Students must have maintained at least a B+ in Latin AP Vergil, Latin Poetry Honors or Latin 3 Honors (for students entering BLA in 9th grade).
