Saturday, the HHS Marksmanship team traveled to Joshua Texas to compete against Navy and Marine JROTC teams where our Bucs in Blue all had personal bests, tied the highest team score in team history and earned 2nd place overall. Individually, Layla Briggs, Erin Rigsby, Emily Wood and Wally Cassel all made it to the finals with Layla finishing in 3rd place. Way to go Bucs in Blue!

To assist with the set-up for the Homecoming Parade, immediately after school tomorrow, please remove all cars from the parking lots behind the cafeteria and around the boys gym and stadium. Parade starts at 6:00. Haughton Police Dept will close North Hazel to North-bound traffic at E McKinley as early as 5:00 PM. From 5 to 6:00PM floats and parade vehicles must access parking lots from North Hazel at 3227 and CornerStone and head South to the Boys' Gym lots.

To assist with the set-up for the Homecoming Parade, immediately after school tomorrow, please remove all cars from the parking lots behind the cafeteria and around the boys gym and stadium. Parade starts at 6:00. Haughton Police Dept will close North Hazel to North-bound traffic at E McKinley as early as 5:00 PM. From 5 to 6:00PM floats and parade vehicles must access parking lots from North Hazel at 3227 and CornerStone and head South to the Boys' Gym lots.

Saturday the Swim team competed in the YMCA meet and came in 5th place overall. The Girls came in 4th overall and the boys came in 7th overall. Aidan Finklea broke his own record and cut 30 seconds off his backstroke. Way to go bucks!!

HHS students and staff donated 65 units of blood and 10 units of plasma. Your efforts have the potential of saving a total of 195 adults or 1,885 babies. Just 1 pint can save 29 babies. That’s incredible! Great job HHS!

Wednesday is our HHS Fall Blood Drive. If you are 16 years old, then you must have a signed consent form. Homeroom teachers have copies to handout. Please return them before the blood drive. All blood donations will benefit the 28 hospitals and treatment centers in Northwest Louisiana
The next ACT administration is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at HHS. The deadline to register for this test is THIS Friday, Sept. 20th. Students must register for this exam online at ACT.org and the cost is $69. ACT Fee Waivers are available to those 11th and 12th grade students who meet the economic need eligibility. These can be requested by emailing Mrs. Stallcup. The waiver covers the cost of the exam and a subscription to an online study course.
The Fee Waivers are digital, so there is no need to send students to my office for them. I'll have to email the waiver anyway.
