High school football: Haughton downs Homer in season opener

1. Please move your vehicles to outside the white lines in the student parking lot right after school. The band will be having rehearsal after school and need the practice field clear.

2. It's not too late to join the Bucs Reading Challenge! Email Mrs. Ogletree if you would like to earn prizes for reading books.

3. September is attendance awareness month.  The class with the highest percentage present each day will receive ice cream on October 1st during their lunch shift. 

   1. Free for teachers;  students may purchase 1 if not included in the free item

4. Are you a child of an active duty military member, veteran or retiree? If so, please contact Coach Bencke for information regarding the Purple Star Club. 

   1. Please explain to the students that if their parent or guardian served in the US Military, this pertains to them. 

5. SENIORS, Are you interested in representing Haughton High School as our Student of the Year? Stop by and see Mrs. James in the Counselor’s Suite to sign up and learn more about the selection process! Deadline to Apply: September 10

6. Looking for a way to spread kindness and make someone’s day? Join RAK Club — Random Acts of Kindness Club! If you’d like to join, pick up a form from Mrs. LeCompte in B115 or Mrs. Chapple in B125.

7. 4-H enrollment forms are available in the C bld outside Mrs. Lain's door in the CMC .

8.  The Clay Target Shooting Sports League will begin its 26-27 season in mid-September. To register and learn more, contact Mr. Koeppen. Deadline for registration is September 10. 

9. Homecoming Dance Contracts will be available August 20th through Sept. 14th.  Any outside dance guests will have to have this filled out prior to purchasing tickets. Please see Mrs. Flannery for the contract.
