Haughton shows up to support hometown hero, Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott returns to hometown Haughton for field dedication: 'I am one of you'

1. Everyone is invited to come to First Priority in the kitchen side of the FACS building every Tuesday during your lunch shift.

2. : Louisiana National Guard will be here to meet with you on Wednesday, November 12th during SKUL time.  If you are interested in joining the National Guard or you want to learn more about what they have to offer please fill out the google form.

3. The Lady Bucs basketball team is selling school approved spirit shirts and sweatshirts until Nov. 15th. Ask a player or Coach Bolin for the link or QR code to scan to get yours. 

4. Hey Bucs!  Check your email.  The Yearbook staff needs you to fill out the google survey they sent.  You can submit photos to Ms. Raley.

5. The i3 Inspired Authors writing competition is now accepting entries! Students may submit 1 writing and may choose from fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. See Mrs. Ogletree in the library for more details. Deadline for submissions will be the first week of December.

6. The Junior Optimist Club is collecting non-perishable food items for Operation Blessing from now until Thursday, Nov. 20th. There is a barrel located outside of A-201for donations. Please see Mrs. Ginn or any Junior Optimist Club member if you have questions. 

   1. Non-perishable items include: Canned goods (meat, vegetables, fruit), Peanut butter, Rice and pasta, dry cereal, oatmeal, grits, dried beans., and Ramen noodles

7. Gamers, don't forget to reserve your seat for the next Board Game Club meeting. Use the Google Form on the Board Game Club web page.

Rodney Guin, Dak Prescott’s high school football coach, speaks on the leadership displayed during time in Buccaneers uniform

This Thursday's blood drive will be held in the JROTC Building from 6:45 AM to 2:00 PM.  The schedule will be out Wednesday.  All donors should hydrate well and eat breakfast in the morning, regardless of when you are donating.   If you are donating in the afternoon, then you should eat lunch too. All 16 year old donors must turn in a consent form to donate.

Haughton to honor Dak Prescott with field dedication ceremony

Dak Prescott returns home for the dedication of Prescott Field at Haughton High

1. Congratulations to these students for reaching their next reading challenge goals: Brycen Harness - 100,000 words; Abigail Bryan - 175,000; Noah Johnson & Preston Barcheers - 325,000; and Abigail Campbell & Brooklyn Nugent - 600,000. See Mrs. Ogletree in the library for your prizes! Congrats to these staff members for meeting new goals: Mrs. Moock - 175,000 words; Mrs. Liles - 500,000; and Coach Johnson & Mrs. Knudson - 1,000,000 words! Congratulations! Keep reading, Bucs!
