HHS Marksmanship team helped represent Bossier Parish at the 4-H State Air Rifle Championships in Alexandria. Chris Fick earned State Champion Runner-up, Ethan Evans 6th and Emily Wood 9th. A 4th Bossier top 10 competitor, Megan Wallace, earned 8th place. Their overall Bossier team's score was best in the state! Next week, they find out which of the top 10 will go to 4-H Nationals in Nebraska this June.

Congratulations to the Haughton JROTC Raider Team. This weekend, members of the team competed in their first full, 7-event, Raider competition this year at Camp Minden this weekend. Led by cadet Jerry Moore, they brought home a 3rd place trophy in Push-ups/Sit-ups and three 4th place trophies in the Shuttle Run, Obstacle Course and Cross Country Rescue. Way to go Bucs in Camo!

Today is the HHS blood drive in the girls gym from 6:45 AM to 2:30 PM. Teachers have both an electronic and paper copy of the schedule. All donors should hydrate well before and after donating. If you are donating in the afternoon, then you should eat lunch beforehand. All 16 year old donors must turn in a consent form to donate. Walk-ins will be accepted.

Congratulations to the track team for winning the Bossier Parish Championship. Top point earners were Kyron Turner, Jamarion Gray, and Giovanni Musgrove. The next meet will be held at Haughton next Thursday with the field events starting at 3 and running at 4
Congrats to the HHS JROTC Rocketry Team. Cadets Emily Wood, Macaela Reese, Joshua Dowden, Ayden Nevels, Taylor McCord, Michael Haskins and Jaxon Linn have qualified for the American Rocketry Finals in Washington, DC next month. After competing against 1100 teams nation-wide, they will represent Louisiana against teams from 45 other states for $100,000 in cash and prizes, the title of National Champion and an invite to compete at the international championship in the United Kingdom.
