AP and Honors Courses

HONORS & ADVANCED PLACEMENT CLASSES

Golden Sierra High School offers Honors and Advanced Placement courses in the English, Social Science, Math, and Science departments. Some of these courses have a summer reading requirement, so parents and students are strongly encouraged to contact the subject area Department Chair for more information.

Honors

Honors Courses earn a higher grade point average (5.0 scale instead of 4.0) and challenge students by moving at a faster pace; they often have prerequisites. Unlike the Advanced Placement classes, the curriculum is not geared towards taking a test at the end of the course of study which, if the score is high enough, would give the student college credit. Our Honors course offerings are:

Advanced Placement (AP)
