REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Primary Showcase - "FAIRGROUND FUNHOUSE"

SATURDAY 18th  NOVEMBER 2023:  Technical Rehearsal, 

ERINDALE THEATRE

 ~COMPULSORY FOR ALL PERFORMERS TO ATTEND~

11.00am: All Dancers in the Junior Showcase ARRIVAL TIME 

         - Arrive wearing Bom Funk uniform or plain black uniform with hair & optional make up completed.

11.15am: Blocking/Technical Rehearsal on stage for all Dancers in Junior Showcase.

-  Students will watch the rehearsal from the audience. Please wear Bom Funk uniform/plain black and correct dance shoes.  

1.00pm:     Students will break for a short lunch/snack in the foyer. 

• Our canteen will be open (please send them with some money) or you may pack a small snack/lunch for them. 

• Parents can meet students in this break in the foyer to give dancers food. 

• No students are allowed to leave the venue.  No parents are allowed backstage or in the Auditorium. 

1.30pm: Students return backstage, collect costumes & get ready for the Show. No parents are allowed backstage. 

1.45pm: House Opens

2.00pm: SHOWTIME: Junior Showcase "FAIRGROUND FUNHOUSE"

3.30pm: Show finishes - collect children from the Foyer & sign out

PROCEDURE FOR THE DAY:

PRE-SHOW: Please arrive at the time you have been given.  Junior Show dancers are to arrive wearing their Bom Funk uniform or plain black uniform with hair & optional make up completed. Students will wear this for their stage rehearsal.

Once at Erindale Theatre, go to the Foyer and meet your Group Leader (see below your allocated group). You will sign them in with this person  and a teacher will take them into the auditorium area for the Technical rehearsal. Parents are unable to come into the auditorium during the rehearsal, except if required for our Special Needs students. 

DURING THE SHOW: Once your child has completed their rehearsal, their Group leaders will take them backstage & look after them during the Performance.  Your child will be handed their costume bag and get changed. They will then have their professional photos taken before performing on the stage.

At the end of the show, ALL dancers will return to the stage to receive a special award and moment in the spotlight. 

AFTER THE SHOW: Once the show is complete, your child will change out of their costume and put on their regular clothes. All costumes are to be left at the theatre and collected on the day. Dancers will then be brought back to the foyer by their Group Leader ready for collection and Sign out. No parents are to come backstage - please meet you children in the foyer after the show. 

All Starz Special Needs Class - after consultation with Miss Zoe we will send additional information to families to accommodate the needs of the class. 

*Please note:  

 ·         All times are approximate and may vary on the day.

 ·         Dancers must arrive on time so that they do not miss their stage rehearsal.

 ·         Dancers are to arrive wearing Bom Funk uniform or plain black uniform with hair & optional make up completed. 

·         Bring your correct dance shoes that you are wearing on stage (all foot ware must be approved by the theatre). Make sure all personal items are named!

·         The Technical rehearsals will run in replacement of our Friday &  Saturday classes.

·         During rehearsals and the performance, students remain under Bom Funk teacher & parent volunteer’s supervision. All adults backstage have Working With Children Checks. All Bom Funk staff have First Aid qualifications. 

·         Students are to remain inside the venue during rehearsals - students under 18 will not be permitted to leave unless signed out by a parent or guardian. 

GROUP ALLOCATIONS:

If your child's name is missing from this list, please contact us IMMEDIATELY so that we can amend any mistakes & have correct capacity numbers & costumes prepared.
