The Master of Engineering program is a coursework-only graduate degree program. Students completing the M. Engr. are often working full-time in addition to fulfilling coursework; students pursuing this degree are typically self- or industry supported. Students enrolled in the M. Engr. program will be advised by the ADGP unless other arrangements are requested. A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to graduate and the “Required Core” courses must each be passed with a B or better. You should work each semester with your advisor to identify the best courses for your unique program of student. The courses listed are the minimum requirements
As a coursework-based program, that is often completed part-time, the Master of Engineering program timeline can take many different forms. Students enrolled full-time in the program should complete all requirements within two years. All requirements for a master’s degree must be started and completed within a single continuous interval of no more than seven years.
All MSE Graduate Student are required to complete the entrance exam in the first year of enrollment
30 credits of courses are required for the Masters of Engineering Degree
After completion of the core coursework, students can be admitted to Candidacy. The Application for Admission to Candidacy is submitted through the Graduate College. Once approved, a student becomes a Masters candidate. This approval must be completed by the term prior to the intended graduation in accordance with graduate college deadlines.
The MSE 599 Project Course is the culminating activity for the Masters of Engineering project. It is generally completed during your final spring semester
