At Boise State University, interdisciplinary graduate programs are those that cross boundaries and involve faculty members from more than one program. Students in interdisciplinary programs are encouraged to take classes in, and engage with programs across campus.
The Materials Science & Engineering graduate programs are interdisciplinary programs housed in the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering. Several departments are involved with the program including Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences. We also have program faculty from Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and other departments, with the list of program faculty constantly growing and changing.Â
We encourage students to utilize the great range of resources provided by this interdisciplinary structure. Faculty from all of these departments make up the governing body for the program.
