I am a secondary school science teacher who is passionate about my purpose to help educate our community, introducing the skills and procedures of scientific practices to our youth. I will always work hard for my school and students, and I will strive to open doors for experiences and career paths in science, technology, engineering, art, and math in our community.
I am a positive, team oriented person. My family roots are deep in northern Michigan, but I was raised in the Rocky Mountains. I have been in Idaho with my husband for 30 years, and we have three great kids together. One is a junior in high school, and two are in college at Boise State this year. BSU is now a family tradition! An outdoor lover all my life, I enjoy explaining and teaching about the investigation of living things, and the amazing, beautiful, wonderful world of phenomena we share. I will do my best to respond within 24 hours during the school week. Email is preferred and the most efficient way to communicate with me. With an active professional and personal life, it can be a challenge to return phone calls in a timely manner. I will do my very best to reply promptly, and am always prepared to help my students succeed!
I will post most assignments in our Google Classrooms. You are expected to be on time in class with YOUR charged computer, a 3-ring binder for classwork, and something to write with every day.
If you are absent, check our Google Classroom "Agenda Slides" for the assignment you missed. You will do much better, and find assessments much easier, if you do your best to keep up with our activities, labs, and reading assignments. Make up what you missed.
Reach out to me if you need help! I am always here to assist with problems, big or small. Emailing is the best way if our class time doesn't answer your questions. I will make time for you!
