Week Beginning 3/1/21. This Thursday 4th of March is World Book Day we will also be launching a new library in school soon. Below are 4 opening parts of books you will find in the library. Which do you like best? From Monday the 8th of March work will be posted on Google Classroom only not BLZ.
What did the Iron Man do to make the farmers angry?
Last week you described a being such as a monster, alien or robot. What could he do to cause trouble? Would he destroy things or eat things?
Write the next part of your story describing the trouble he is causing. You could watch the Godzilla video below for ideas.
You must use capital letters and full stops.
Entry 2 - Use adjectives and try to write a question at the end.
Entry 3 - Also include an exclamation mark.
Lesson 2
Read to the end of Chapter 2. How did they catch The Iron Man?
Write the part of the story where they are trying to stop the destruction. Your character could be caught in a net, a pit, a cage or even shot at (see pictures). You could watch the King Kong video below for ideas.
Entry 2 – Write using conjunctions (but, because) and adjectives (describing words)
Entry 3 – Write with correct grammar and tense including pronouns (he, his). . Use a range of punctuation including exclamation marks. Proof read to check spelling and grammar.

All students complete the interview sheet.
Entry 1 and 2 - complete spelling ed and ing.
Entry 3 - Look at Homophones power point and complete homophones worksheet.
Entry 1 and 2 Complete Listening Skills in Asda and the Weather. If possible ask someone to read the information for students to listen to. If this is not possible they can read the information.
Entry 3 - Try Listening for the main points (Can be read more than once).

All Students look at Getting started to see when Capital Letters are needed.
Try the worksheets Using Capital Letters and Capital letters for names.

Entry 3 - Complete the email to a friend inviting them on holiday (see sheet below) =- Can be sent to me on Google Classroom
Listen to 2 episodes of 'Friend or Foe' each week this term.
You should have the whole story finished by half-term. There will be a quiz!

Practice punctuation - Entry 2 – Complete page 1 (question marks). Entry 3 – Complete page 2 (question marks, explanation marks and commas). You can check your own answers on page 4.
