In grades 9-12, students need 3-years of Social Studies to graduate. 9th graders take World History: Early Modern to Modern World in CP and Honors sections. 10th-11th graders take US History in CP, Honors, and AP sections. US History covers the Colonial, National, and Democratic experiences over the 2-year sequenced course.

Many students at BHS take Social Studies electives, both full year and half year courses.
