The Control Panel appears below the course menu. Make sure Control Panel is visible. or click Control Panel link on the menu to expand the Control Panel.
Click Users and Groups
Click Users.
In the Users Search section, Select Username in the first drop-down field, and Not Blank in the second drop-down field, leave search field blank, Click on Go. This should list all users in your class.
Only Administrator can add co-instructor to Blackboard courses. Please send your request to Yifeng Bai (yifeng_bai@bloomfield.edu). Course number and section info are required.
Users who have access Blackboard can participate in Blackboard organizations. For users to participate in the organizations or receive emails, users must be added (or enrolled) into each organization.
it’s the organization leader’s responsibility to manually enroll and unenroll Blackboard organization participants.
To manually add users to your Blackboard organization roster:
Click Users & Groups in the lower left section of the Organization Management area.
Click Users.
Click Find Users to Enroll link in the upper left corner of the page.
Choose the user you wish you manually enroll.
If you know the user’s Blackboard username, manually type it into the Username box. Do NOT click the browse button. proceed directly to step 5.
If you do not know the user’s Blackboard username, leave the Username box empty and click the Browse button and then search for the user.Tip: If the user has a common last name, search for the user’s official email address
Once you have located the user in Blackboard, select the user and then in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window, click Submit.
Leave the Role pull-down list set to Participant.
Leave Enrollment Availability set to Yes.
Click Submit.
Repeat steps 3 through 7 for each additional user you wish to add.
Please note that Blackboard only allows each user in the same organization once. If a user already in the organization, you won’t find the user when trying to enroll. To see a list of users already enrolled in your organization:
Once log on Blackboard, click the Organizations tab on the navigation menu
Click the organization you want to access
On the organization’s Control Panel, under Users and Groups, click Users.
Choose “Not Blank”. [This tells Blackboard to display all users.]
Click Go.
Normally when students register a class through the Registrar's Office, it will trigger an automatic synchronization between Colleague and Blackboard. If the registered student is not in the course roster in Blackboard, please contact Blackboard Administrator for assistance. yifeng_bai@bloomfield.edu.
Please send your request with name of person, course access privilege and restrictions to Yifeng Bai. It takes less time to add a member of Bloomfield College Community to your course. If the guest is a non-Bloomfield College member it will take longer to process.
