In the Blackboard Ultra, instructors can make course available to students right from the Courses Page. Follow the steps below:
In the Course Tile View or in the Course List View
Click three dots to bring up the more options.
Click on Open course
In the Open Course pop-up box, click Open to Students
In the Original Course View, to make course available, follow the steps below:
Access your course, locate the Edit Mode button to ensure it's ON. If not, click it to turn it ON.
To the left, locate the padlock icon. A closed padlock means Course is Unavailable to your students,
Click on the padlock to open the padlock.
An open padlock means this course is available to your students.
A Private course means your course is not accessible to students. In order for your students to download and review the course syllabus and other content, you need to make the course available, or open the course.
By default, Blackboard sites are unavailable to students (In the Ultra environment, it says "Private". Instructors must make courses available or Open course in order for students to access the courses.
In the Blackboard Ultra Courses Page, a Favorites section is created on top of the courses. When a course is added to the Favorites, it will be displayed on the top of the course list. Click on the little star on the course to add a course to or remove a course from the Favorites
