Bring your own iPad at BIS HCMC
At BIS, we strongly believe the iPad is an excellent tool for personalising learning and accessing contemporary resources to support Primary student learning through an engaging and familiar medium.
The iPad offers an element of speedy access, mobility and intuitive interaction. There are a large range of apps available for the iPad that are useful for Primary students.
Why iPads for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students?
The iPad is a powerful tool that can be easily utilised by students. It is an anywhere, anytime device which allows the seamless integration of technology into all areas of learning. The iPad offers students greater autonomy in their learning including enhanced opportunities to access information, to be creative by using the iPad’s multimedia capabilities such as; the camera, video and voice recorder.
The iPad is light and portable and has a long battery life which means it can be used throughout the school day. It empowers students to collaborate and share learning with peers and family members.
The iPad allows you to set enhanced parental restrictions so you can support your child’s journey towards becoming a responsible and positive member of our BIS HCMC digital community.
At all times the device is owned by the parents.
Parents can have complete control over what apps can be installed to the device,
Apps are secure;
The school will support parents in identifying apps that will be used to enhance learning and develop students’ digital citizenship
Devices can be tracked with Apple’s Find my Device.
