Memes

Introduction to memes, By: Carter N

Do you have plans that you don't want to go to? Do you an assignment due tomorrow? Look at some memes instead! Of the people that took our survey, it was a close 48.5 to 51.5 percent, split in favor of the boys. In our survey, 82.9% said they do like memes, and the survey shows that the 17.1% that said they don't like memes were girls. Our study also showed that people like many different kinds of memes, but the most popular were animal memes. So to learn more about memes, we got a quote from a meme expert, and we asked him what makes a meme a truly good meme? His response was the following, “If a meme is over a month old it's dead, dead memes are a no go.” He also said that “ iFunny memes are bad, Instagram memes are good.” To end it he said “If a meme is highly edited carefully, and thought out while being constructed, that's how you know it's a good meme.” Next we talked to Ethan who is also a self proclaimed “Meme Star.” First we asked what his favorite genre of memes are, to which he said, “All memes are good except a few, including rick and morty memes, and doge memes.” Next we asked, how he acquired his memes, if he steals them, or makes his own? “He said he steals most of his memes but doesn't consider it stealing since he is spreading meme culture to more people.” His closing statement was “It doesn't matter on how many likes your memes get, it matters on how many people are introduce to these new types of memes."
