BIO
I am a second semester junior majoring in Environmental Science. I completed the Clean Energy stream of the Freshman Research Immersion Program here at Binghamton University, where my research group gathered supplementary data on lead replacement in perovskite quantum dots. This past summer, I was an energy analyst intern for COI Energy, a clean energy startup that enrolls buildings in a variety of demand response programs. I am continuing that internship this semester for credit, and hope to be working a similar job this summer.
In the future, I would love to be working an environmentally-focused job in the clean energy sector. Since I was young, I have always had a fascination with nature, and that pushed me to pursue a career helping to protect our planet's ecosystems and help shift our global economy away from fossil fuels. Through my internship, I learned a lot about American energy markets and the current situation of clean energy usage worldwide. I would like to apply my knowledge and skills regarding this subject to further global implementation and investment surrounding renewables, and help to innovate new ways to combat our planet's growing climate issues.
