Starting school stories
There are some lovely story books about starting school that could be shared with your child. Below are the links to each story (on YouTube) if you are unable to acquire a hard copy. There is also a short story about a little boy, Jake's, first day at school that you can read together on the screen.
The road to starting school
'The Road to School' document gives some ideas of activities and tasks that could be used to help parents/carers and their child prepare for starting school. It is certainly not an exhaustive list and your child may well already be able to do some, or lots, of these things before they start school. If you spot anything that you think your child might struggle with, please let the school know so that we can support them.
'All about me' activity booklet
