Montana Seal of Biliteracy
There are some really cool things you can achieve if you apply yourself in a language class. Upper level language students are now eligible to receive the Montana Seal of Biliteracy. The Seal of Biliteracy is a certificate that states that the recipient has functional language skills that could be used in a variety of settings. This can be very valuable as you head out into the working world. The Seal demonstrates to potential employers that the bearer has enough experience in their second language to communicate with speakers of that language who patronize their businesses. Some universities are using these scores to place students in the appropriate level of the language, and granting them college credit for achieving the Seal of Biliteracy, instead of requiring them to take an AP or CLEP exam.
