Model UN and French Club will be selling Graduation-Grams during lunches from May 16th to May 20th. Each Graduation-Gram comes with a note and a cookie for you to give to a friend you'll miss this summer. They will be delivered to high school students and staff on May 22nd. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way.
Every day, people struggle with issues like hunger, homelessness, addiction, and unemployment. The United Way offers hope by finding solutions to surround critical problems like these. They fight for the health, financial stability, and education of every member of the community. They also provide volunteer opportunities, webinars and events, and ways to help promote change. The Bowling Green High School Model UN regularly works to help raise for the United Way of Wood County.
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) helps disadvantaged minors all over the world and helps to protect children's rights. They are also the worlds largest provider of vaccines. They support child health and nutrition, safe water and sanitation, quality education and skill building, HIV prevention and treatment for mothers and babies, and the protection of children and adolescents from violence and exploitation. UNICEF also helps countries after humanitarian emergencies. The Bowling Green High School French Club and Model UN collect donations for UNICEF each fall.
