Sunday Recap
What a wonderful time we had celebrating Resurrection Sunday! Students brought the story to life by reading specific accounts of the week's events all the way to an EMPTY TOMB. One student pointed out that this story starts off pretty dark- it was an interesting point of view BUT SO VALID. It gave us an opportutnity to go through all of the different emotions we might have felt as we read the story together. It also gave us a chance to peel back how Mary and Jesus's disciples would've felt. Your kids had some incredibly insightful empathy and passion as we talked together. The message we hope all of your kiddos walked away with was that we don't have to live in that darkness anymore because we have HOPE that began when the tomb was empty and all of the people shouted HE is RISEN. We are not ever going to upkeep the ten commandments and we as kids and adults are going to fall short just like the Bible says we will- but the good news is our story doesn't end there; our debt and ALL of our sins are paid in full. Take peace in that as you go through this week.
PRE-K/K-
Kiddos in our Pre-K and Kindergarten room had a great time learning about the Resurrection through the story of the Resurrection Eggs. They also got to create their own He is Risen tomb sticker scene. Seeing the story unfold through the eyes of these kiddos was truly something special and remarkable.
