1st-5th Grade
We had great discussion about temptations we face in our everyday lives. Students did a great job of recognizing the temptations and also recognizing the potential consequences that come with these temptations. We had a variety of answers from being tempted by a sweet treat all the way to being tempted to play video games when we aren't supposed to. We took a look at how Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and listened to ways that we can help ourselves and others resist the temptations from the devil and other outside factors. We also talked about the importance of not being one to try and tempt others. We spent a lot of time digging into the word and these kids did a great job in a friendly bible knowledge competition. We searched for verses, read them out loud, and wrote them down to help committ them to memory. Many of our 5th graders took part in their first Covenant Students session down the hall- what a blessing to watch them make that transition to gracefully and proudly! We will miss them but are so glad that have the opportunity to fellowship with the other Covenant Students!
PRE-K/K-
These kiddos had a great time learning about when Jesus returns from Heaven. It is such a sweet blessing to watch the excitement when we talk about this glorious day with these kids. Students took turns telling us what they think it will be like and what they think Heaven is like too. Seems to me that there is an abundance of lollipops, unicorns, and some form or sand castles that are available as Air BnB's in heaven from their awesome descriptions.
