Ms. Lynch

This year will mark my 20th year in teaching. I am incredibly blessed to have found my calling in life and I truly believe that it has to be the most rewarding career out there.  I graduated from Rhode Island College in 2003 and moved out to Arizona where I taught in the J.O. Combs Unified School District for 10 years in San Tan Valley, Arizona and earned my Masters in Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University. They say New Englanders tend to return back to their roots and in 2014 the love of family ultimately pulled me back to Rhode Island and onto the doorstep of BFCCPS. As I embark on my tenth year with this wonderful community, the number of students and families who have left a mark on my life and filled a space in my heart, continues to grow each year.

Ms. Martin

This is my second year as a full time teacher. I graduated from Bridgewater State University in Spring of 2022, and will return to school this winter for my Master's degree. I hope to share my passion for Humanities with all of my future students, as these subjects truly help to make us more empathetic, well-rounded and thoughtful individuals.

Teacher Team

MRs. Summers

Greetings,

My name is Dawn Marie Gagne Summers and I am thrilled to be starting the year at Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School.  More importantly, I am thrilled to be starting the year with your children.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to share a little bit about myself. Professionally, I have a Master of Education degree in English. I have been in education a little over 20 years and have taught students of all abilities. Even with this experience, I still consider myself a learner! Outside of the world of academia, I live on a small plot of land in Taunton, with my husband, dog, and nine chickens. My biggest (and most expensive) hobby is gardening.

I know that all of my experience will greatly benefit you and your child. Let’s do our best to keep the doors of communication open so that your child will have an incredible year.

MR. Joyce

Hello! My name is David Joyce, I am passionate about teaching math as a creative subject, using hands-on experiments in science, and helping students become effective problem-solvers. I enjoy hiking, reading outside, gardening, cooking and playing sports. It is incredibly exciting to be in my 5th year here at BFCCPS!

Special Education Team

MRs. Tolpin

I am so thrilled to join the BFCCPS community. This year marks my fourth year of teaching in special education. I began my career as a special education teacher assistant,1-1 assistant and long term substitute at Milford Public Schools. In 2017, I  began full-time teaching as a fourth and fifth grade inclusion teacher and liaison at Framingham Public Schools. I have an undergraduate degree in English from Salem State College and a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Moderate Disabilities licensure from American International College in Springfield. I am looking forward to getting to know and working alongside families and students in the sixth grade at BFCCPS.

Foreign Language

Madame Mcnamara

Bonjour les élèves et les parents de BFCCPS! French has always been my passion, and I am excited to share my love of this language and culture with the students of BFCCPS!

This will be my 29th year of teaching languages at the middle school level, and my fourth year teaching at BFCCPS. I received my BA in French and Foreign Affairs at Assumption College, studied at Collège International à Cannes in southern France, and earned my MAT in French from Rhode Island College.

Besides teaching, I also love to travel, read, spend time on the Cape, and root for the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. My husband and I have raised three wonderful children, two that have successfully moved out on their own and a third still in college.

I am very excited to see what the year ahead will bring and to see all that we can accomplish together!  Le Français est fantastique!

Mrs. Kelleher

This will be the start of my 19th year teaching and my 2nd year at BFCCPS.  I have my undergraduate degree from Marietta College and my masters degree from George Mason University.

I love reading fantasy and mystery books.  I hope this year we can continue discussions on new books and classic favorites.  I also really enjoy technology.  During the school year, I hope we can try some different technology resources.

I am a wife and mother to 2 girls who keep me very busy at home.  I enjoy being outside and love anything on the water.  My favorite vacation spot is the 1,000 Islands in Upstate New York.

I hope we have a wonderful year together!
