Beverly Bootstraps (BB) serves a large part of the North Shore community who need extra services to become self-sufficient. Last year, BB started working closely with the Beverly School District's EL program to promote services such as: Food Assistance, Child Services (e.g. providing school supplies), Adult Education, and Tax Preparation in several languages. There are also many opportunities to volunteer and help your community at BB. And don't forget the BB Thriftshop! You can find more information at their website here.

ELPACs are intended to advise school districts and schools regarding matters that impact English Language Learners (ELs). The Beverly ELPAC meets regularly and while attendance is not mandatory, parents and guardians of ELs can provide advice on English learner education programs, meet regularly with school officials about educational opportunities for ELs, and providing input on school or district improvement plans as they relate to ELs.

At ELPAC meetings, you can also get information on Beverly Bootstraps's (BB) on-going services like the food pantry, adult ESL classes, youth education and childcare, and counseling. Seasonal services like school backpacks and summer camp will be discussed as well. You can also learn how to connect with BB if you need assistance or if you would like to volunteer.

The Beverly Public Library (BPL) offers a lot more than books, magazines, newspapers, music, and movies. Other services for residents of Beverly include the free use of wi-fi, public computers, and for a small fee, use of copy machines and printers (black and white/color). You can also make a reservation for small (non-commercial) meetings in one of several meeting rooms.

The library also has a lot of fun events, book groups, virtual art exhibits, and offers discount passes to many Boston and local museums.

The library is located downtown, is open late most days, and has many areas for quiet studying. Additionally, it has a new "teen" section with a lot of young adult novels, manga, and teen programming to choose from. Also, did you know the BPL also has a "library of things" to check out? You can even check out a yoga mat or a telescope kit!
