Greetings from Computer Literacy!
Experience:
I have been involved with the teaching profession for over 30 years. Most of this experience has been through Middle school instruction. I have been an instructor at Bethlehem since 1997 where I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Mostly teaching English and Social Studies until 2008. Since then I have been working with kids through ATM (Academic Technology Management). I was asked by the district to teach this course because of my experience of working well with students and with integrating technology successfully in the classroom. Now, as times change, we have made the necessary changes to make this course even better! Computer Literacy combines the best of Mr. Farnan's and my classes to create a 20 week program to better prepare our students for middle school.
Certifications:
New York State certified in Social Studies 7-12, English 7-12, Elementary Pre-K-6th, and Special Education.
Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Network+ and A+ certifications.
My Mission:
One of the first things I say to my students is... "I am here for your success!" You have to try very hard to perform poorly in my class. If you do what I ask and follow through with my instructions, you will be successful. It can be that simple or that difficult. It's your grade, now go and earn it! And remember, I'm always here to help!
It's a pleasure to meet you!
