2. How can you protect the environment-50-60 minutes--under development
4th grade:
Trash to Treasure-video above
1. Recycled Art: Students will use something considered trash to create something new
3rd grade:
Make a visual recycling guide
Poster and magazines/images provided, 30 minutes
2nd grade:
1. Vermicomposting: Students learn about red wiggler worms and worm bin ecosystems and how these can help with waste reduction goals (no curriculum provided).
This is not a lesson or presentation, simply sign up and the materials will be delivered to you.
2. Design/decorate used paper bags and donate to stores to be re-used
Class collects bags from home, then coordinator brings in materials for them to decorate and then drops them off at stores to be re-used. (30 minutes)
1st grade:
Be a Monster Re-user-reusable water bottle project
The coordinator will come in the fall with Red Rex to do a 20 minute presentation and hand out re-usable water bottles to your class.
