Project 0: ICON Rings

Using Adobe Illustrator design for laser cutting a ring.

A simple "washer type" ring fulfills the assignment but if you want to go beyond the basics you are challenged to design the ring around a theme. i.e. City Skyline, Geometric shapes, Chess pieces, Social Issues etc...

Wood is the material, not acrylic. 

Constraints:

Thickness- Must use 1/8 inch (3mm approx.) or thinner wood

Time- Has to be done by Friday

Simplicity- Rings are generally small so not much area for small detail

Fit- The ring must fit on the selected finger it was designed for.

Due at the beginning of class Friday. We will Photograph rings in class to upload for submission work and upload for Bcourses submission.
