2024-2025

The competition challenged teams to convert an underutilized 5 story commercial building and surrounding lot into a vibrant mixed-use development. Additionally they must design a new 4 story building on the site, including ground-floor retail space. Teams had to manage stormwater with green infrastructure, include 6,000 sq ft of gathering space, incorporate sustainable energy features, and propose transit-related off-site improvements.  Designs required justifications based on local codes and best practices.  All this simulating a real-world proposal.
