Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, ASCE's Sustainable Solutions competition has undergone significant changes, with a current focus on the use of design in SketchUp. Every year, Cal Sustainable Solutions' projects are designed to fulfill our shared vision of a truly ideal city - resourceful, accessible, shared, resilient and desirable .
Stormwater System and Community Nodes
PSWS 2023 - CSUN
The 2022-2023 competition centered around the revitalization of a underutilized downtown block. Cal Sustainable Solutions proposed a modular, multifunctional and highly walkable space, integrated with existing structures and restorative in ecological connectivity, while designing a comprehensive stormwater management plan.
Tiny Home design
Mid-Pac 2022 - UC Davis
Cal Sustainable Solutions proposed a low-cost, low-embodied carbon, community-centric and nature-focused space with transitional housing to address the objectives set out in the 2022 Tiny Homes Challenge.
