The Sherman Island barn was at the former site of Uncle Juilio's asparagus barn.  We took preliminary data at this site, while it was operating as a grazed pasture, before it was converted to a restored, non tidal wetland.

We are currently working with Kuno Kasak and a student Illona Tamm to compare fluxes from this grazed pasture over organic soils with a mineral pasture in Austria grazed by  horses. A paper was recently submitted to Restoration Ecology
