The Berkeley Bilingual School Psychology certificate program cost $4,100 for the 2025-26 cohort. We are making every effort to keep this program accessible to practitioners. Please check back for updates on costs for the 2027-28 cohort.
Please note that once admitted, a non-refundable $500 deposit is required to accept your offer. If this deposit is not received, your seat will be offered to someone off the waitlist.
A payment plan is available for individuals paying with a credit card. The $500 deposit will be used towards your entire balance (if paying in one payment) or your first monthly installment (if paying on a plan). All payment plan tuition must be paid in full before the start of the first course.
There are no additional fees for textbooks and materials as all will be provided digitally.
Participants may choose to purchase Extension Semester Units separately through Dominican University of California. The program allows for up to 9 units to be purchased at $55/unit and these are reflected on a transcript. If you choose to purchase units, Dominican University of California will provide a direct link for registration and purchase, and the Berkeley Bilingual School Psychology certificate program will provide Dominican University of California with pass/no pass grades for those choosing this option.
Additionally, the UC Berkeley School Psychology Program (which the Berkeley Bilingual School Psychology certificate program is affiliated with) is a NASP approved CPD provider. Participants will have the option to purchase CPDs prior to beginning the program.
A payment plan can be provided with prior agreement. Please check back in for more detailed payment plan information.
We strongly encourage school districts to support their bilingual school psychologists by encouraging and financially supporting their attendance to professional development opportunities like this. Please feel free to use this template to help you secure district funding (in part or full) for your tuition. We encourage you to start this conversation with your district early, and even invite some of the key stakeholders to one of the information nights this Fall.
We also acknowledge that purchase orders may take longer than the two weeks between a participant receiving acceptance to the program and the deposit being due. If the district will be sponsoring tuition, and a check will not reach the Berkeley Bilingual School Psychology certificate program by the necessary date to hold a seat, please contact the administrators as soon as possible with a letter of intended sponsorship from your district signed by the authorizing entity (e.g., Superintendent, Director of Special Education, head of your Finance department). However, due to fiscal years closing out at different times for different districts, we ask that all checks be received by April 2027 so they can be processed prior to district staff beginning to close out for the school year.
In order for this program to run, a minimum number of students must be enrolled. If an insufficient number of acceptances are received, a suspension of the program will be necessary. In this case all deposits and course fees paid will be refunded in full.
If a participant withdraws after they have paid the non-refundable $500 deposit:
prior to making any tuition payment, no funds will be refunded.
after making tuition payment(s)
with a check: the non-refundable $500 deposit and a $25 processing fee will be deducted from the amount paid, and the balance will be refunded.
with a credit or debit card: the non-refundable $500 deposit and a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be deducted from the amount paid, and the balance will be refunded.
After June 1, 2027, no tuition refunds will be provided
The Berkeley Bilingual School Psychology certificate program received initial seed funding from a generous partnership with 21 CSLA Alameda Region, and additional support from the Berkeley School of Education to continue our efforts. We are thankful for their trust, vision and partnership.
