At Belmont Charter High School, students must complete a graduation project spanning their four years in high school. This four-year project is required for students to graduate. The project is worked on during Seminar and helps students understand their strengths, interest, and skills needed to reach their career goals. It provides students with a variety of hands-on learning experiences and leads students through the steps of developing the tools and resources needed for post-secondary endeavors. Each year, the gradation project focuses on Career Readiness Theme:
9th Grade: Self-Knowledge, “Know”
10th Grade: Career Exploration, “ Explore”
11th Grade: Career Acquisition/ Career Planning, “Plan”
12th Grade: Career Retention & Advancement, “ Go”
Students must complete all requirements for their grade-level graduation project before they can be promoted to their next grade level.

The BCHS Senior Capstone Project is an important part of a student’s final year of high school. It integrates skills, concepts, data and reflection from the student’s program of study into one culminating project. Students work on individual projects.
