Chapter Activites
Chapter Meetings
Every month the Belle Plaine FFA chapter holds a chapter meeting. In these meetings, we discuss new, past, and unfinished business. We are able to hear every member's opinion and vote, while also making the best decision for our chapter. At these meetings we also provide dinner, so you can come and eat while also taking part in our chapter!
Fruit Sales
Each fall we host a fruit, meat, cheese, nut, and popcorn sale. If you are interested in any of the above choices, find a Belle Plaine FFA member and support our chapter! Once the fruit arrives, students are able to work together and sort everything out, so your items can get to you ASAP!
Ski Trip
As a prize for selling a certain amount of fruit, meat, cheese, etc., our members are granted a ski trip! They go to Sundown Ski Resort and are able to snowboard or ski with their friends for the whole day!
2nd Grade Ag Day
Each year the Belle Plaine FFA chapter holds a 2nd grade Ag day at our elementary. During this 2nd graders learn valuable skills about how to treat certain aniamls, and how to stay safe around farm equipment!
Nursing Home Vist
We love going to our local nursing home and treating the residents and nurses by bringing up some animals for them to see and pet. This year we brought a calf, pig, and dog for them to look at. If they wanted they could go and pet the animals, otherwise they were able to look at them from afar.
Christmas at the Elementary
During Christmas, our chapter officers dress up as different Christmas characters and go down to the elementary. The little kids love seeing all the characters in real life. During this, we also pass out candy canes and take pictures with any student that would like one!
