Mr Jones has been Housemaster of Stud since September 2016. He was Deputy for 4 years and has been at Bede’s since 2008. He teaches Science, Biology and Animal Management.
Mr Jones was Head of a Day House at St Andrew’s International School in Malawi for five years before joining Bede’s and also worked in Knights Day House until September 2012.
He lives in the House adjacent to the Housemaster’s study with his wife Helena, daughter Val and their dog Gertie

Mr Potter is now in his fourth year in this post and he has been the resident tutor in Stud House for a further 2 years. Mr Potter is Head of Design and Technology. He is now in his 7th year as a 6th form tutor in Stud House and enjoys nothing more than talking to the boys over a long weekend duty (his words, not mine!). As a keen runner, he often partakes in jogging ‘for fun’ as well as being a bit of a petrol-head. He will talk for hours about all of his old cars.

The Stud Matrons are the backbone of the house, without whom, the house simply would not function. They work tirelessly in order to ensure that all the boys are cared for, not only when they are feeling under the weather—but all of the time! They are on duty from 7.30am through to 10pm and they will always be available to help. They have a wealth of experience. Liz and Mollie join us this year and both bring a wealth of experience from other institutions. They love it when the former boys come in and say hello!

Our housekeepers work extremely hard to keep Stud House looking smart. They are friendly and cheerful and the boys of Stud House appreciate their sense of humour and caring attitude. Katherine Blake oversees cleaning around the school. All of the staff in Stud have been subject to an enhanced DBS check before working with the boys
