One of the strengths of the House system is the possibilities it allows and the responsibility it gives to all pupils to care for one another at all levels and ages. The vertical House system is an organic structure, mimicking the family life of a group of siblings, which lends itself to older pupils supporting and acting as role models to younger ones, and the younger ones in turn looking up to and emulating their senior counterparts. In addition to this naturally occurring formula, the Houses do operate a system of House Prefects who are senior pupils who have specific roles and responsibilities within the House. They are always supervised by members of teaching staff and don’t have any powers to issue sanctions but are trained in dealing with younger teenagers, sensitive care giving, managing adolescent issues and knowing when to get help.
The Camberlot Prefect team are a fantastic group of young men who help to support our new students. They develop initiatives, assist with the smooth running of the House and make sure that your son always has someone to talk or play a game of pool with!
