My Grandpa
By: Akshara from Ms. Oosterhof's class
One day, as I came back from school, I heard a phone ring. So I asked my mom to go pick it up. Once she did, I could see the dread creeping up on her face. So I asked what happened. She said my grandpa was sick and got a major heart attack. I didn't know what to do, so I sat down and I hoped that he would survive. But nothing good happened after that. My grandpa got another major heart attack. Then, for two days, he was all right. Then came the biggest, most dangerous heart attack. But I still didn't lose hope. I knew he might get better. A few days later, my mom got a phone call again. This time, she looked happy. So once again, I asked what happened. She said my grandpa survived. I was so happy. That was when I realized that I hoped for my grandpa to live, and he did.
