While this project started in the spring of 2022, we have been engaged in pollinator education at Bald Eagle for many years. Our students are concerned about the national decline in pollinators. With the assistance of the Centre County Master Gardener Program, we have developed several pollinator gardens on site, as we advocate for these pollinators that play a vital role in the production of many of our local food sources. In the agriculture classroom, we have an observation beehive on a wall adjacent to the garden, where our bees can forage. The honey from the beehive will also be used in our vinaigrette.
