Our two vinaigrettes have become a full-blown business, so it needs to be managed and run well. Students have the opportunity to learn about the joys and struggles of running a business within the coursework, allowing them to gain valuable experience, with mentors and advisors available to help them run the business.
The involvement of students and mentors cannot be understated, but perhaps the most valuable part of the business has been community partnerships. Without local businesses to offer our products, partnerships to buy the necessary ingredients, and community connections, we would not have a business at all.
