Year Five

In Year 5 this week, we have been working on writing a character description of the three hunters who captured Torak in our class novel, Wolf Brother.

At the beginning of the week, we took part in role play and divided into groups to act out the scene. We then drew around selected class members and used the chapter to research details about each character’s appearance and personality, and finally, we used this information to draft our character descriptions, writing from the perspective of either Torak or Wolf.

For our second line of inquiry: An inquiry into how the arts communicate and preserve societal narratives, we have been looking at the ‘Stuarts’.  We have explored the Stuart monarchs and arranged them on a Timeline, researched and created a factfile on James I and learned and answered questions about the Gunpower plot.
