2017 team

The boys were undefeated in their regular season (10-0) with each player on the team contributing at least one match victory.

The boys won the PSAL championship with a 4-1 victory over Bronx Science. Marcos Lee (#2 singles) played a dominant match and won 6-2, 6-1. Julian Szuper and Noah Edelman also dominated in doubles 6-0 6-0. The match was sealed with the doubles play of Donovan Brown and Tyler Kats who won 6-2 6-4. Felix Levine finished the match with a three set victory.

The boys played the Mayors Cup on June 4. In the morning they defeated Trinity 3-0 in the semifinals, which set up a finals match against an excellent Horace Mann team. The boys won 3-2. Marcos Lee led Beacon with a 6-1 6-3 singles win. Beacon #1 singles Ethan Leon lost to a top city player, Calvin Chung. The #1 doubles team of Julian Szuper and Donovan Brown fought back from an early deficit 2-6 6-0 6-4. The #2 doubles team of Tyler Kats and Joseph Wilkanowki almost pulled out a come-from-behind victory, but lost. This tied the match at 2-2. Felix Levine sealed the Mayors Cup win a few minutes later with a 6-3 6-4 singles win.

On June 3, Ethan Leon won the PSAL singles championship. Donovan Brown and Tyler Kats won the city doubles championship.
