As part of create day, Nick from Olas Art held a graffiti vinyl record workshop. Children used carbon paper to trace their name in a graffiti style before transferring this onto their record and decorating with paint pens. 

Once these were finished, they were installed onto the mural in the playground for the whole school to admire! 

Children visited the Roman fortress in Carleon. This included a tour of the amphitheatre and ruins of the barracks, exploring artefacts in the museum - they even had the remains of a roman solider! Children were enlisted into the Roman Army for the day (thankfully none of them were married so everyone could join), they tried on armour, experienced the living conditions in the barracks and then practiced their marching and swordsmanship. 

Play day this year did not disappoint! With water and spaghetti fights, slip and slides, sports, games and junk modelling there was fun for everyone! 

The question is: who had more fun, the adults or the children? 

We finished off with a refreshing ice lolly while we dried off in the sun. 

What a truly brilliant day sports day was! We got lucky with the weather and had a blast taking part in all of our activities with you all. 

Everyone demonstrated determination, resilience, and true sportsmanship - well done! 

We explored the properties of 3D shapes by making them from nets and with marshmallows. Who knew tetrahedrons could be so tasty? 

Children wore green to recognise the mental health charity Mind and National Mental Health Awareness Day. We traded Friday's afternoon service to share a story in the sun with pupils in Year 5. 

For a donation to the Bristol Stroke Association, children wore stripy clothing and participated in a 'Where's Wally' scavenger hunt. 

We played all the classic party games, had a mini disco, and were lucky enough to be visited by Father Christmas ahead of the big day!
