Welcome to English 10. This is a composition and literature course where we will read nonfiction, fiction, and poetry with an analytical eye and we will write in a variety of genres. The central goals of this course are to improve thinking and communication skills. We will strive to read, write, speak, and think carefully, analytically, and articulately. In additional to academic goals and outcomes listed below my goal is to foster the pleasures of reading and writing. Because, well, this stuff is amazing-life-changing-blow-your-mind-interesting and sometimes just plain enjoyable. School forgets that sometimes. We won’t in here.
