Special Services

I usually go by Mrs. H, and this is year 5 for me in Burlington. Outside of work I like to go on adventures with my husband and dog. Hiking, biking, and paddle boarding are some of our favorite activities. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is another passion of mine, and I seek to include self-care, coping techniques, and self-determination into my classes.

I am zealous about reading and encourage students to seek texts that interest, inspire, and challenge them. In English, I connect our class novels and writing assignments to current events and social justice issues with student interest guiding our curricula.

I am fortunate to usually have students multiple years either in English or Learning Strategies which I absolutely love! I am excited to get to know my new students and families this year as well as continue to build the relationships with my students from previous years.

With Covid concerns and remote learning, I think it is essential to communicate and connect with families frequently. I plan on sending bi-weekly email check-ins. Please email or call me anytime if you have questions!

Hello, my name is Ryan Ebbesen, this is my 10th year at Burlington-Edison, time flies!

The classes at BNN, are smaller and more individualized to meet students' needs. We work on academics, growth mindset, and getting students ready for life after high school.

Very excited about the students I am working with this year, so much potential!

I went to UW, I have a lovely wife and three kids and enjoy sports and relaxing in my free time.

Hello! I have had the privilege of teaching for 28 years. I feel that I am lucky in that I work with most of my students all of their years at Burlington-Edison High School. My Learning Center classes are designed for students to develop skills that will help prepare them for life after high school. My staff and I work with students in my classroom and also help them succeed in their general education classes.

Math is my favorite subject to teach. In class, we work hard to increase math confidence and skills but have fun at the same time!

This is my 12th year teaching in high school and my 5th year as an adjunct professor for WWU's teacher education department in special education.

Outside of school, I enjoy fostering kittens, playing board games, camping, and participating in car clubs and racing.

Welcome! This is my 6th year at Burlington-Edison High School and my 11th as a school psychologist. I'm passionate about special education and assisting students with disabilities in overcoming obstacles and successfully reach their goals! I meet with students in small groups for social-emotional instruction and one on one for assessment.

I received my BA in Psychology from University of Washington and my MS in School Psychology from Eastern Washington University.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, baking, working on our home remodel projects, and my new Covid hobby of screen printing.

Hello! I am the SLP here at B-EHS. Helping students improve their communication skills is such a fun job, but let me tell you, it is pretty challenging during remote learning! This is my 6th year at B-EHS, 19th year total. I work in small groups, or individually, with students on a variety of communication related goals. SLPs do way more than you think they do! I attended WSU for my Bachelor's degree, and University of Redlands (CA) for my Master's degree. After moving around the west coast a bit, I am happy to be back in the Skagit Valley! Please contact me if you have any questions.
