The Cedar Grove Middle School Band Program is a comprehensive music education experience where students will learn to read music, play an instrument, and perform as part of an ensemble. With over 180 students currently in the band program, we have a wide variety of musical opportunities for our students.

Our main ensembles include the 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Intermediate Band, and the 8th Grade Advanced Band. Each of these ensembles meet as a class during elective periods throughout the school week. 

We also have a number of after-school and extra-curricular ensemble opportunities for our students. In the spring semester, we have the After-School Beginning Band for 6th-7th Grade, and the Bulldog Jazz Band for advanced 7th-8th Grade musicians. We also have students participate each year in the All-County and All-District honor bands through auditions, as well as the All-State and Regional Jazz honor bands. The Cedar Grove Band and Chorus programs also attend different performance festivals, including the Music Performance Adjudication, Carowinds Festival of Music, and even Disney's "Festival Disney" for music.
